Hey! Did you notice that we posted a couple of new reviews this morning? You didn’t? Why not? Oh, yeah… that thing. It’s ok. But we did in fact post a couple of new reviews this morning so you should check them out! Music Boxer Eric has reviewed two (not one, but two!) new albums this week!
read Eric’s review of the new Menomena album.
And/or
read Eric’s review of the new Best Coast album.
Hooray! Next week we’ll probably have some more reviews. Probably. Yes. Most definitely we will probably have more reviews next week. Maybe.

The Avett Brothers, two of which are in fact brothers, released a new album last year that was pretty good. There were a couple of really good songs on the album including and especially the title track “I and Love and You.” The band was also on an episode of “Ace of Cakes” once and that is awesome.
But today we have a new video from The Avett Brothers for a song off their most recent album. Wanna see it? Well, here you go:
The Avett Brothers’ “Head Full Of Doubt/Road Full Of Promise:”
Neat!

Lead singer of the band Travis, Fran Healy, has a solo album hitting the interwebs in October. Healy’s solo album will be called Wreckorder and is the first solo album from one of the boys in Travis.
We like Travis so are jazzed (as the kids say) to check out the new material from Healy. Fortunately, we didn’t really have to wait that long because Spin Magazine got the jump on everyone else and premiered one of Healy’s new songs. Yay!
The song is titled “Buttercups” and you can listen to it right here.
The song sounds just like Travis. I guess I don’t really know what I was expecting but I was hoping for a least a little bit of a new direction. I mean, I like the song and all… it just sounds EXACTLY like a Travis song. Oh well… it’s still good.

Kele Okereke (the Bloc Party guy) has released a new video for his song “Everything You Wanted” and you’ll never guess what the video is about! But try to guess anyways. Nope. Nope. Um… what? And No! OK, since you give up I’ll tell you.
The video features Kele walking around. I know! What an awesome idea and no one has ever made a video like that! Especially Brits. Seriously though, and I know we’ve talked about his before, but why the hell do British bands/musicians feel the need to film themselves walking around for their videos? And all of them do it! Is it a cultural thing that we “yanks” don’t understand? If there is any British people reading this please let me know why British musicians constantly make videos about people wandering the streets of England. Seriously!
Anywho, here is the video for “Everything You Wanted:”
I think I should move to Britishland and start making videos. If all I have to do is walk in front of or behind someone as they lip-sync their song… I could totally do that.
Tegan and Sara have a new video for the song “On Directing” everybody!
Check it out:
Neat!
Although one of the twins is having a bad hair day. I don’t know which one is which… but one of the girls needs to resolve the mullet-like-thingamajig that happening. Just sayin’…

Sound TeamWe take a moment to remember, fondly of course, an awesome band that broke up after releasing one album.
Gavin Glass and the Holy Shakers Make Me TrembleEnter one Gavin Glass. Lisa Hannigan’s guitarist by day, Glass has certainly carved a niche all his own.
