This Week's Bout: Oscar's Picks
So the Oscars were tonight… neat. I’ve never been one for watching Hollywood give (often undeserved) awards to itself but whatevs… it’s a free world and a lot of people get into it. But to show that I’m not a complete spoiled sport when it comes to the movie industry’s big day, I decided to go with an idea that came in from Twitter for this week’s bout: last years best song versus this year’s best song. I like that idea so… here you go.
This week’s bout is this year’s best original song winner, Ryan Bingham for his “The Weary Kind” from the Crazy Heart, versus A. R. Rahman and his song “Jai Ho” from the film Slumdog Millionaire.
Last week’s winner, Fugazi (barely… by like 150 votes), has been sent to the winner’s circle.
