"Good night Cleveland!" - Whoever these guys are

Yesterday I posted a link to a bunch of different bands that were headed out on tour. And since I posted that I’ve had a billion (literally, a billion! Ok… maybe not literally) people email me other people that are headed out on tour that I should have included.

So… to make everyone happy, here are a bunch more bands with link to their tour dates:

Brandon Flowers
Jason Mraz
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
of Montreal
Kele Okereke

Again, I’m sure there are a bunch more so feel free to email everyone that I keep missing.

Monday. Blah. You kn ow what I mean? You totally know what I mean.

But there is some good news this morning. I haven’t posted very many tour dates on this site for a while. Not sure why… just haven’t. But my inbox is flooded (not literally – that would suck) with people letting me know band’s are heading out on tour. So rather than posting each of these individually, here is a big ass list of bands that are going on tour this fall and a link to their tour dates. This obviously isn’t a full list of EVERY band that is going on tour… because that would be a stupid long list. Anywho, here you go:

James
Eels
Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos
Jonsi
Foals
The National
Frightened Rabbit
Owen Pallett
U2
Stars
Guided By Voices

Like I said… there are a ton more, that’s just the ones I had in my inbox.

New Jersey’s own Gaslight Anthem is streaming their upcoming album over at NPR right now. The band’s new album, American Slang, comes out next week but NPR is letting us hear it right now for free. Isn’t that nice of them? I think so.

So if you feel like rockin’ out with your cock out, Jersey style, click here and have yourself a listen to American Slang.

In other New Jersey news, Bon Jovi is slated for a 12-date concert series at London’s O2 Arena. How lucky Londoners are! Twelve days of Bon Jovi? That’s like a dream come true. Coincidentally, that same dream usually ends with a monster stabbing me in the face with an icepick made from frozen urine while Cher, Elton John and Darryl Hall all sing the theme song to Growing Pains.

In other words… that dream is a nightmare.

L.A. rockers, Eels, are releasing a new album. Yes, that’s right. Another new album. That’s like three in the span of a year and a half or so. Awesome. If you haven’t figured it out by now, we here at MB central (and as you should be) are HUGE Eels fans. Why are we HUGE Eels fans? Because they are one of the most awesomest bands in the history of ever.

The album will be titled Tomorrow Morning and is apparently the last part in a trilogy that none of us really knew was a trilogy. The first two parts of the trilogy that no one knew was a trilogy was last year’s Hombre Lobo and this year’s End Times.

This is such awesome news. But that’s not all! Starting in August the band will go on a full-on world tour. Hells. Yeah! What a great Thursday this is.

Tomorrow Morning is scheduled to hit the interwebs in August.

Business up front, party in back. That’s the way I rolled when I was huge into Rush… but that, was a long time ago. Rush and I have since parted ways and while I look back fondly at my time as a Rush fan, I’ve simply out grown them. And out grown the mullet. Kinda. Now I have a reverse mullet thing going on that I’m not real sure about but whatever… this isn’t about hair styles so much as it is about Rush touring the country.

Rush is touring the country everybody! So start growing those mullets! I know I said this wasn’t about hair but… come on. We all know the score. This guy knows the score:

But this isn’t your every day, run-of-the-mill Rush tour. No! Rush will be performing the classic Moving Pictures in its entirety. That’s actually really, really cool. A bunch of bands are doing this same type of thing (performing their classic albums in their entirety) and I kinda dig it – but only as a special occasion and only if it was a good album. No one wants to see U2 perform Zooropa in its entirety. Zooropa sucked and the world is a worse place because it its existence. Just sayin’…

Click here to see the list of tour dates (too many to post here and I’m lazy today).

While having a mullet is by no means a requirement to enjoy Rush or to attend the concerts… you don’t want to be the only one there without a mullet. Right? That would be embarrassing. So… you better start growin’ that shit out. You have until June 29.
