"Don't look at it... don't look... at... it" - The dudes in the back

Remember WAY back when those “Where’s Waldo” books were blowing our minds? The kids loved that shit. They’d all gather around tables looking at the pictures trying to find the Waldo guy… but it was hard because the artist tried to trick you. Artists… always trying to trick you.

Miniature Tigers totally remember those books because their new video is basically a “Where’s Waldo” book come to life. Except they made it super easy to find Waldo. I guess the kids just aren’t as willing to work for stuff these days. Oh well.

"Huh... what? I mean... yeah. You know?" - This guy

As a general rule, the length of an artists dreadlocks is directly proportional to the resistance I am going to have with regard to listening to that artists music. Michael Franti has very long dreadlocks and so I have a very strong resistance to listening to his music. I have another general rule that applies to cowboy hats but we will probably never have to worry about that general rule here because as another general rule I don’t write about people who predominantly wear cowboy hats.

Anywho, Michael Franti and Spearhead have a new video for the song “The Sound of Sunshine.” The video makes me wish I was still in California. It also makes me concerned for everyone in it because skin cancer is going to hit these dudes and chicks hard. But that’s their problem I guess.

I guess the sound of sunshine is Jack Johnson? I think Jack Johnson is gonna be pissed when he hears this video and sees this song. Because I think Jack Johnson already released this song and this video. Just sayin’.

Ben Folds teamed up with author Nick Hornby for a new album. Folds wrote the tunes and Hornby wrote the lyrics. Weird. But at the same time kinda cool. Bits and pieces from the album have slowly leaked out but today we have an actual video.

This song, “Things You Think,” has a spoken word bit from Hornby and also features Pomplamoose and in fact this video is from Pomplamoose’s vlog (is that even a word?). So here you go, enjoy.

Eh… I’ll reserve judgement until I hear the rest of the album… but I don’t think I’m gonna rush right out and get this one. But the album, Lonely Avenue, comes out Sept. 28.

"We're totally Mod" - These Guys

Brit-poppers Keane have filmed a new little video for the song “Clear Skies.” The video is really nothing more than concert footage from the band’s recent tour but you know, whatever. There is still room for music videos using clips from live performances. There was a time when almost every video was like this so maybe they are going for a nostalgia thing. Or maybe they are cheap. Or maybe they just wanted to make a video of a bunch of live performance clips.

"Bad words!" - This guy

I guess the video we posted last week for Cee-Lo’s “Fuck You” song wasn’t a real video. And since the song has exploded all over everyone’s earlobes I guess it was only a matter of time before we got an “official” “Fuck You” video.

What I love about this video is that they paid a little to say “fuck You.” I bet the casting was great for this video.

I guess it’s a good enough video but… I don’t know. I just don’t think it was necessary. I actually prefer the one we posted last week. Oh well.
