So Florence & The Machine have a new video for the song “Never Let Me Go” and I’d just like to talk about something – is sewage dripping all over Florence in this video? It’s kind of gross. The video keeps cutting to images of a toilet and/or bathroom and then cutting back to Florence as dark liquid drips down her face. I… I kinda think that dark liquid is supposed to be sewage (poop!). That’s gross. I don’t need any to see any of this that is happening here.
But in case you do, click here to watch the new video for “Never Let Me Go” over at NME.
I need a shower.

It’s time to look back on some stuff that we meant to post but didn’t and then turn right around and post something brand new(ish).
First up is a fun little video from Dananananaykroyd for the song “Muscle Memory” that the band posted a while back. This video is pretty much exactly what my workout regimen looks like. Except mine is less Addidas and more spandex.
Dananananaykroyd’s “Muscle Memory:”
Next up we have a new video from Florence & The Machine. This video, for the song “Lover To Lover,” is pretty boring. It’s just Florence singing on a stage. Boring! Where are the slow motion shots of birds and falling and racism (just kidding) that were in all the other Florence & The Machine videos?
Florence & The Machine’s “Lover to Lover” video:
I meant to post this earlier in the week but since I’m just now getting to this I kinda feel like I need to address something. Apparently this video has some minority groups upset. So much so that Florence is being labeled a “White Supremacist.”
Really? Because of this video? I consider myself a fierce defender of equal rights however I’m not really seeing it. I’m not seeing the racist elements. Is it because the Voodoo guy is black? Is that it? That seems like a very weak argument. Would it have been less racist to cast a white guy as a Voodoo priest? I’m not saying the premise of this video doesn’t deserve criticism, I’m saying that I’m not sure racism is to be found here. But this is a discussion, not a lecture so if you, any of you, feel as though I am wrong I’d love to hear about it.
But watch and judge for yourself.
Florence & The Machine’s video for “No Light, No Light:”
Uninspired? Certainly. Racist? I’m not quite sure.

I could have sworn I posted this video but… I guess I didn’t. Shit happens. YouknowwhatImean? You totally know what I mean. We can’t all expect each other to be 100% on top of shit right? I mean, if we did then I would be out of a job because you wouldn’t need me to tell you shit like “hey, Florence & The Machine have a new video for the song ‘Shake It Out.’” YouknowwhatImean? You totally know what I mean.
So yeah, Florence & The Machine have a new video for “Shake It Out.” The video features Florence attending a fun little masquerade ball and dancing (with the devil on her back, I guess – not literally).
Florence & The Machine’s video for “Shake It Out:”
Good song, good video.

Since this is everywhere today it might as well be here too…
Florence & The Machine have a new song hitting the interweb called “Shake It Out” and I actually really like it. I guess I don’t really need to qualify that last statement by saying “actually” because I do like Florence & The Machine so it’s not really a surprise that I like the song.
Wanna hear the new song? Assuming of course this is the first website you’ve been to today and therefore haven’t heard it yet.
