We are getting a late start today because sometimes we need late starts. In college I got a lot of late starts. A lot. I’m not in college anymore so the number of late starts I get anymore has sharply decreased but the need for late starts really hasn’t. I’m not sure what I’m trying to say here because I got a late start and my brain is still wondering what parts of last night actually happened.
We (I) need some energy to help wake me up. So how about a new video from Kele Okereke?
Kele Okereke may or may not have been fired from Bloc Party or Kele Okereke may or may not have quit Bloc Party. Either of those situations I’m not a big fan of because I am a big fan of Bloc Party. But the dude does have a new EP coming out soon and here is a new song/video from that EP “What Do I Do”.
Whoa. Looks like Kele’s been hitting the gym. He probably has to get up early for that…

Kele Okereke (the Bloc Party guy) has released a new video for his song “Everything You Wanted” and you’ll never guess what the video is about! But try to guess anyways. Nope. Nope. Um… what? And No! OK, since you give up I’ll tell you.
The video features Kele walking around. I know! What an awesome idea and no one has ever made a video like that! Especially Brits. Seriously though, and I know we’ve talked about his before, but why the hell do British bands/musicians feel the need to film themselves walking around for their videos? And all of them do it! Is it a cultural thing that we “yanks” don’t understand? If there is any British people reading this please let me know why British musicians constantly make videos about people wandering the streets of England. Seriously!
Anywho, here is the video for “Everything You Wanted:”
I think I should move to Britishland and start making videos. If all I have to do is walk in front of or behind someone as they lip-sync their song… I could totally do that.

Yesterday I posted a link to a bunch of different bands that were headed out on tour. And since I posted that I’ve had a billion (literally, a billion! Ok… maybe not literally) people email me other people that are headed out on tour that I should have included.
So… to make everyone happy, here are a bunch more bands with link to their tour dates:
Brandon Flowers
Jason Mraz
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
of Montreal
Kele Okereke
Again, I’m sure there are a bunch more so feel free to email everyone that I keep missing.

June is national Gay Pride Month… in case you didn’t know. To celebrate we’ve got a couple videos from some prominent (and awesome!) gay artists; Tegan and Sara versus Kele Okereke. Tegan and Sara released Sainthood last year and Kele released Boxer last week.
So enjoy these videos, vote for your favorite.
Last week’s winner, Franz Ferdinand, has been sent to the winner’s circle.

Even more music! It’s never gonna stop!
Kele Okereke, who you may remember from his stint as Bloc Party (R.I.P?) lead singer, has a new solo album hitting the interwebs soon titled Boxer. We’ve posted a couple songs from the album already and today MySpace is streaming the whole gosh-darn album! Yay!
So click here if you want to head over to said MySpace page and listen to Okereke’s first solo album.
Jeez… all this new music is getting me all discombobulated. Is that the right word? I don’t know, I was never good at math. Just kidding. I was good at math. I was good at math and good with the ladies. Just kidding. I was never good with the ladies.
