Matt Pond has all sorts of shit going on. He (and his band, Matt Pond PA) just released a new EP titled Spring Fools, he scored a movie called “Lebanon, Pa” and he is going on tour with his other band Wooden Birds.
For this free music Friday I tracked down (through a tweet that was sent to me) a free track from Matt Pond PA’s new EP! Yay!
Click here to head over to RCRD.LBL to download the track “Love To Get Used.”
And click here to get some info on the movie he scored.
I like Matt Pond. I wish we were friends in real life.

Hey! Did you notice that we posted two (yes two!) new reviews this morning? Well… maybe you should be paying a little closer attention to things. I’m just sayin’.
The first review is a a concert review from the first ever Music Boxer Rock Out with Your Boxer Out Party featuring Matt Pond PA. While the Music Boxer Rock Out with Your Boxer Out Party didn’t really have anything to do with the concert itself, it was a good excuse to go see Matt Pond PA perform. Read about the concert here.
Next we have another 1 Sentence review this week. Why just one sentence? Because you don’t really need much more than that to describe the new Ozzy Osbourne album. Yuck. You can read that review here.
Make sure to check back next week because we will have a couple more reviews for your reviewing pleasure.
Word.

Let’s party! That’s what we will be saying tomorrow night! And if you are in the greater Phoenix, AZ area (or can get to the Phoenix, AZ area), you can join us! That’s right, Music Boxer is having an official Music Boxer launch party and you are all invited! Assuming of course you can get there.
The party will be taking place in Tempe, AZ and will culminate with free admittance to the Matt Pond PA concert! There will be more free shit for those that tell us they are gonna make it so… tell us if you are gonna make it!
The party will begin at 7pm at Bison Witches Bar & Deli just off Mill Ave in Tempe (if you don’t know where it is, Google it!). From there the party will head/stumble over to the Sail Inn to catch the show. After the show there will probably be more partying but we are leaving that part of the schedule open.
To R.S.V.P. to this awesome Music Boxer Launch Party email me (J. Allen) at jallen(at)musicboxer.com and let me know if you will be attending. That way we can make sure you are “on the list” for tickets to the show. And if you are planning on making it, make sure to follow us on Twitter as that’s how information about the party will be disseminated.
Let’s all hang out and rock out together! As one big happy Music Boxer lovin’ family.
Oh… and if you can’t make it, there will probably be another official Music Boxer party very soon! I have to work out the details but it will probably be in Tucson.
Rock ‘N roll!

I think we are all ready for the weekend. Am I right? So let’s get this weekend thing started a little early and let’s get it started with Matt Pond PA’s new video for “Starting” because it seems right. It’s the right song name, the right tempo, the right lyrics – the song is just right for “starting” a weekend. This guy knows what I’m talking about.
Here’s Matt Pond PA’s video for “Starting:”
So maybe the video isn’t right for “starting” a weekend but everything else I mentioned totally is. Why are the cops doing such a bad job of chasing these criminals? These cops should be fired. Also, the glowing eggs… I have some questions there. But you know what? It’s the start of a weekend so let’s just have some less talk, more arms, more legs, more swinging back and forth… Matt Pond PA knows what I’m talking about.
