Touring in a band is not really that much fun. Sure seeing new places and playing in front of receptive and appreciative audiences is great but being stuck in a cramped van with your band mates and all their shit for hours and hours kinda sucks. It’s not nearly as awesome as Motley Crew led us to believe.
Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin’s new video for “Everlyn” is basically just footage of the band running around Europe. It looks like they are having so much fun. And I’m sure they are. Touring can be totally fun… when you aren’t cramped in that god damn van for eight hours after spending six hours in BFE because some hose broke and the one garage in town might be able to fix it but who knows.
But this does look like fun:
I take back everything I said. Let’s all go on tour! I’ll take first drive.
"We have a terrible band name" - These guys
We posted a new video from Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin a couple days ago where someone cobbled together a bunch of Aerosmith footage into a new video for SSLYBY’s song “Back in the Saddle.” Well, that’s not the only “new video” the band has.
Yesterday an observant reader sent me a link to this video for the song “Sink / Let it Sway.” This video is a little more conventional – meaning no one is gonna sue them for making it. It features the boys in the band wearing masks and running – like you do.
Good thing they made it to the party in time!

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin is a band. They’ve been around forever (like, 1999) but they’ve only released three albums. The band just released their third album, Let It Sway, a couple weeks ago and our friends over at Stereogum have one of the new songs off that new album available for a free download!
Tits! Do the kids still say that?
Anywho, the song is “Banned (By The Man)” and sounds a lot like a Fountains of Wayne song. But take a listen for yourself here.
