Sufjan Stevens has made a music video. And when I said that he “made” a music video I don’t mean that like we usually mean it when we say an artist made a music video. When we usually say that we mean that the artist’s label hired a bunch of dudes to make a music video for the artist. That’s not the case this time. Sufjan actually made the video. He animated it. That’s cool.
The video isn’t like a Pixar thing but it’s a completely serviceable, animated video for one of Sufjan’s songs, “Get Real, Get Right.” It’s simple and neat although I’m not the biggest fan of the song.
Check it out:
I tried making an animated music video before and I gave up after the fifth frame. That shit is boring!

Hey!
We wrote up some new reviews!
Brian listened to the new Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s album, Buzzard, and wrote a full-on review of it which you can read right here.
And I listened to the new Sufjan Stevens, The Age of Adz_, and did a 1 Sentence review that you can read right here.
Rock.

Earlier this week we posted a little news blurb about Sufjan Stevens releasing a new EP. Well Mr. Stevens has followed up that release with news that he will be releasing his next full length album, The Age of Adz, on Oct. 12.
Nice.
But what’s even nicer is that with the announcement, Mr. Stevens released one of the new songs as a free download. The song “I Walked” backs Stevens’ wonderful voice with some electronic beats and synth – a little different from what we tend to think about when we think about Sufjan Stevens. But the song is good. Real good in fact.
You can download it right here and listen to it right here:

It’s taken a while but we finally have some new stuff from Sufjan Stevens. The dude just released a new eight song EP titled All Delighted People on his bandcamp site. You can listen to the whole thing and, if you so desired, download the EP for just $5. That’s less than $1 a song! It’s a bargain! Unless you don’t like Sufjan Stevens… then you probably won’t think this is a bargain. But you also don’t have to download it. And really, if you don’t like Sufjan Stevens why are you even reading this news post?
Anywho, you can check out the EP (and download) here.
The new songs are pretty much what we expect from Mr. Stevens. The songs are good but very similar to the other songs we already have in our SufJan Steven’s playlist.
There is no word on any new album but since Stevens dropped this EP on us as a surprise I guess we really shouldn’t expect to hear anything. And I’m good with that. I’d rather not hear anything than continue to hear that the album is expected “soon.”
