In the last week I’ve learned some very valuable lessons. I learned that if you kinda-but-not-really talk shit about Susan Boyle and/or Duran Duran you will feel the wrath of their fans like no other. I’ve talked shit about a lot of artists on this site and none of that has delivered the reaction I’ve seen from Susan Boyle and Duran Duran fans. Whoa! Those guys (the fans) are fucking crazy defensive. Extended arguments on email, twitter and in the comments section have led me to one conclusion – if you want to drive traffic to your site talk shit about Susan Boyle and Duran Duran. So take note of that all you would be bloggers. Also, I need to post more Duran Duran and Susan Boyle stuff.
But it’s not time for that right now, it’s time for a little something new and a little something old.
Tegan and Sara have a new DVD called “Get Along.” One of the DVD features is a live, intimate, performance and Paste Magazine posted a clip from that very performance. Click here to watch “Call it Off.”
As for the something old…
Wires Under Tension released a video several months ago for the song “Electricity Turns Them On.” The video features the duo performing the song outside and inside. That’s really all to it. Check it out:
Also… Duran Duran sucks and Susan Boyle can’t sing because she is stupid.

This is old. I know it’s old but I’m going through shit that I got a while back and trying to get it posted because I feel guilty for not posting it several months ago when I first got the tip. And besides… music is timeless, right? Yeah… um…
Anyways, we’ve posted a video or two from Margaret Cho’s new(ish) album. This song (and video) features Tegan and Sara. Tegan and Sara are awesome and this song is kinda… OK. The video is also kinda OK. Comedy is hard and comedy in music is very hard. But this is at the very least worth a couple views and/or listens.
Check out the video for “Intervention” here:
I wish Tegan and Sara would hold an intervention for me. They seem like fun chicks.

It’s about quittin’ time isn’t it? I mean, we’ve put in a hell of a week and I think it’s about time we shut off your brains and go watch some hockey. You don’t need your brains to watch hockey. I can say that because I am a huge hockey fan. Seriously. Ask anyone.
Speaking of Canada (I know it’s a stretch, but hockey comes from Canada), Tegan and Sara (they are from Canada) have a new video out for the song “Northshore.” What do you say we watch it real quick before we turn off our computers for the weekend? I think we should totally do it.
Tegan and Sara’s video for “Northshore:”
Alright, let’s get the fuck out of here and get our weekend on!

So MySpace and Spin Magazine are doing this kinda cool tribute to Bad Religion (because they fucking deserve it!) where a bunch of bands cover Bad Religion songs. Pretty standard tribute stuff here. So far the stuff that’s been released on the MySpace page for the tribute is pretty dope.
Artists providing covers include Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Tegan and Sara, The Weakerthans, Riverboat Gamblers, New Politics and a bunch of others.
Check it out here.
The album is called Germs Of Perfection: A Tribute To Bad Religion.
Neat!
Tegan and Sara have a new video for the song “On Directing” everybody!
Check it out:
Neat!
Although one of the twins is having a bad hair day. I don’t know which one is which… but one of the girls needs to resolve the mullet-like-thingamajig that happening. Just sayin’…

June is national Gay Pride Month… in case you didn’t know. To celebrate we’ve got a couple videos from some prominent (and awesome!) gay artists; Tegan and Sara versus Kele Okereke. Tegan and Sara released Sainthood last year and Kele released Boxer last week.
So enjoy these videos, vote for your favorite.
Last week’s winner, Franz Ferdinand, has been sent to the winner’s circle.

So Tegan and Sara released a remix album containing 17 remixes of their song “Alligator.” That’s a lot of remixes of a single song. Personally, I think five would have been more than enough but what do I know? I’m not a remix album expert. In fact, I can honestly say that I don’t a single remix album.
But I’m sure there are people out there that totally get off on remixes and for those people Tegan and Sara have just released an album of 17 remixes of their song “Alligator.” There’s even a video for one of the remixes.
Check out the video for Passion Pit’s remix of “Alligator:”
Yup. That’s exactly the video I expected to see for a remix. Now I have to close my eyes for a bit and hope this headache goes away.
If you are into the whole remix thing you can download all 17 remixes (of the same song!) on iTunes right now! Or you can not do that. Whatever. It’s a free country.
