MUSIC NEWS:

"If we lived over there everything would be different" - These guys

I am pretty eager to hear the new White Rabbits album. I am a fan of the band’s last album and as such I am looking forward to the new one. A couple weeks ago we posted one of the band’s new songs and now a video has been released for that very same song.

The video (for the song “Heavy Metal”) is quite good. It’s also quite odd. A lot of odd movement and blank expressions make this video very interesting. Also, when Mitt Romney wins the presidency we will all be able to live like this.

White Rabbits’ “Heavy Metal:”

The band’s new album, Milk Famous, comes out in March.

About damn time!

In the last week a lot of new tracks from some of our favorite bands have hit the interwebs. Awesome. That means that a lot of these bands will be releasing new stuff this year which is also awesome.

Here’s a quick list of some of the tracks that we’ve heard and are digging:

This was everywhere yesterday but in case you missed it, The Shins released a new song, “Simple Song,” which you can check out right .

Stereogum has a new track from The Twilight Sad streaming right here.

NME has a new of Montreal song titled “Dour Percentage” which you can stream right here.

You can download and listen to a new song from Princeton courtesy of KCRW here.

And you can check out the first new track from White Rabbits in a long time (titled “Heavy Metal”) right here.

Enjoy.

Golly Batman! There sure are a lot of animal bands running around right now. And there are more than a couple band’s named after our fluffy little rabbit friends. So naturally, we should take a couple of these rabbit bands and pit them against each other in a battle for video supremacy.

And that’s exactly what we’ve done!

We’ve got White Rabbits from Brooklyn, NY versus Frightened Rabbit from Selkirk, Scotland. Who will win? Well… I guess that’s up to you isn’t it? So go watch the videos and vote for a winner!

This week’s bout comes directly from the Twitterverse. So thanks to our dear reader that suggested this bout! Check your inbox because we just sent you something awesome!

Last week’s winner, MC Chris, has been sent to the winner’s circle.
