"I don't sleep... I'm too busy" - The second dude from the left

It’s another week and it’s the first (full) week of a new month. It’s already April! Can you believe that shit? It’s crazy how we always talk about how time flies isn’t it? We should all do that for the rest of the day. We should sit around coffee machines and say things like “golly, is it already April? It seems like just yesterday it was not April but some other month that is earlier than April. Also, how about the crazy weather that may or may not be happening out there.” Yeah… we should totally do that.

OR…

We could listen to a bunch of AWESOME new music that is being streamed online, for free right now. Here’s a rundown of a bunch of full album streams that you can listen to before you go buy the albums.

The new Low album is streaming here.

A new album from Sharks is streaming here.

Foo Fighters is streaming their new album right here.

The Blackout is streaming a new album here.

The Submarines are streaming a new album right here.

The new album from The Kills is streaming here.

NPR is streaming new albums from:
Paul Simon
Robbie Robertson
Panda Bear

And Spinner is streaming new albums from:

MySpace can go screw itself… still.

It looks like this may be our first Friday Dance Party that doesn’t feature Robyn. I know! I didn’t come across any new Robyn stuff so… we’ll move on with out her. I think we all knew this day would eventually come so let’s all hold our chins up and take it like big boys and girls. Even though most of us (and kinda myself included) were good with the amount of Robyn we had and were no longer in the market for more.

But whatever. Let’s get off our lazy asses and dance to some Daft Punk! That’s what I’m talking about.

This song has already been released and was attached to a “Tron: Legacy” trailer but here is the “official” music video for the new song “Derezzed.” The video goes back to the look of the original Tron movie and that’s cool.

I wish I was in Tron.

"This is how we roll" - These guys

We are still waiting for the full “Tron: Legacy” score from Daft Punk but we do have something new to give you guys today.

N.E.R.D. released the song “Hypnotize U” a couple weeks ago and it was OK. But today we have a remix of that song from Daft Punk and this version is better. It’s still not super awesome but it’s OK. We’ll give them a pass.

Click here to download “Hypnotize U (Nero Remix).”

"I'm tellin' you that fish was this big, yo!" - This guy

Holy shit… it’s taking awhile to get back into this whole not-sitting-on-the-couch-and/or-eating thing. Five days of laziness and gluttony are a hard thing to recover from. Especially when you don’t necessarily want to recover from it.

But here we are. Thanksgiving is over and we’ve got a couple weeks before we get to vacation again so let’s get back to the music shall we? There are a couple of albums streaming right now that maybe you want to check out. I don’t know if you want to check them out, that’s why I threw that “maybe” in there. I don’t really want to check them out but whatever… that probably has more to do with my earlier statements than a reflection of my attributed towards these particular artists.

Spinner.com is streaming new albums from:
Girls
The Republic of Wolves
Solvents

NPR is streaming an interview and song clips from the new “Tron” soundtrack by Daft Punk.

And MySpace is streaming new albums from:
Soulja Boy
Flo Rida

Yuck. I hate this time of year. Nothing good comes out. Oh well, I guess we were pretty spoiled over the summer.

I realize I’m a couple days late with this but that’s how life is sometimes. We can’t all be Johnny-On-The-Spot all the time. Sometimes we have to be Johnny-with-Other-shit-Going-On. You know what I mean? You totally know what I mean.

Anyways, this is out there now:

God damn I hope this movie is as awesome as it looks/I hope it will be.

We at Music Boxer are nerds. We’ve established that in the past. And being nerds, when we heard that there was to be a sequel to “Tron” our nipples got hard. And being music nerds, when we heard that Daft Punk was going to score the new “Tron” film our nipples got really hard. But in retrospect, of course Daft Punk was going to score any new Tron-like films. I’m pretty sure that is a law. In the big book of Laws of the Universe it says that any Tron-like films must include a score by Daft Punk.

Look it up.

Anywho, a couple of the new Daft Punk songs from the film have been making their way onto the interwebs. Do you want to hear them? Of course you want to hear them. Chick here to hear them.

Are your nipples hard now? Liar.

Ok… so I realize the following video isn’t exactly music related but it does feature Noel and Liam Gallagher (Oasis), Snoop Dogg, Daft Punk and Ciara. It also features some footballers (or Soccer if you are an asshole) and a ton of Star Wars shit.

I like it… a lot.

Awesome.

And yes… for the record, I am currently wearing some Star Wars Adidas sneakers.

Do you sit up at night and think to yourself “I really like Daft Punk but golly, I sure wish they had singing and were more upbeat and danceable with a little 80s flare” like I do? Well guess what? Yes Giantess is making those dreams come true.

Case in point, the video for “The Ruins”:

I approve. In fact, I’m starting to become a pretty big fan of these guys. If you can track down the track “Tuff n’ Stuff“ you should… because it’s really good.

God damn these are some weird videos.
