"Hey!" - This guy

Zach Rogue is the lead singer of Rogue Wave. A lot of people dissed all over the band’s last album, Permalight. We didn’t. We thought it was awesome. People (and especially a certain obnoxious music website that shall remain nameless) need to get over themselves and their cemented ideas of what bands should sound like. Sorry for the soap box but it’s totally true and we all know it.

Well, that said, Zach Rogue has a new (solo?) album coming out under the moniker Release The Sunbird. Wanna hear a song from it? Of course you do. Why? Because it’s a really good song.

The song is similar in style to the first couple Rogue Wave albums so maybe people who hate change will like this better.

Boom bash boom boom bash - This guy

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has a solo album coming out. Yes, you read that right – the drummer for a pop-punk band has a solo album coming out. I’m not saying the dude ain’t an awesome drummer. I’m just saying “Really? A solo album?” That’s all I’m saying.

But whatever… this new album of Barker’s does have at least one cool guest on it; Chicago rappers The Cool Kids. We like The Cool Kids. A lot. We wish they’d release their god damned album but we realize they are rappers so we’ve probably got a couple more years to wait before it hits.

Anywho, the song that The Cool Kids appear on is available for as a “free” download from Barker’s official website. You do have to sacrifice your email so it’s not a 100% free track. Click here to go get the song “Jump Down.”

And one more thing. If you have a shit tons of “guests” on your album, is it really a solo album? I’m just sayin’.

Even more music! It’s never gonna stop!

Kele Okereke, who you may remember from his stint as Bloc Party (R.I.P?) lead singer, has a new solo album hitting the interwebs soon titled Boxer. We’ve posted a couple songs from the album already and today MySpace is streaming the whole gosh-darn album! Yay!
